Public Affairs & Regulatory Intelligence Manager

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and policy‑savvy Public Affairs & Regulatory Intelligence Manager to strengthen our Public Affairs team, based in Basel or Vienna.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse European Union and Swiss healthcare policy developments relevant to pharmaceuticals, advanced therapies and medical devices

  • Support the provision of strategic public affairs advice to clients on legislative and regulatory initiatives

  • Draft and contribute to policy briefings, position papers and stakeholder communications

  • Support the development and implementation of advocacy and public affairs strategies

  • Contribute to engagement in industry associations, multi‑stakeholder platforms and working groups, and development of common positions and alignment, advocacy and communication activities

  • Conduct political intelligence analysis, horizon scanning and policy impact assessments

  • Contribute to external and marketing communication activities, including thought leadership content, policy updates, websites and social media contributions

  • Collaborate closely with regulatory affairs and scientific communications teams to deliver integrated client solutions

  • Organize and support stakeholder meetings, workshops and policy‑focused events

Location:  Switzerland, Austria

Required competencies

Advanced degree in political science, public policy, life sciences or a related field
3–4 years of experience in EU and Swiss healthcare policy, public affairs or government relations
Strong understanding of European and Swiss regulatory and political decision making processes
Excellent analytical and writing skills in English; additional European languages are an asset
Ability to translate complex scientific and regulatory topics into clear, policy relevant messages
Experience in working with life sciences companies or consultancies is preferred
Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently in an international, fast paced environment
CH/EU/EFTA-nationality or Swiss work permit
